Warm a small amount of paste between palms to activate and gently rake through ends with hands to accentuate layers.

Garnier Fructis Style Pure Clean Finishing Paste is a styling product with 99% naturally-derived ingredients. As a result, it has no silicones, no parabens, and no dyes. It claims to offer pure performance with a 24-hour clean hold.

I love that this product has ZERO stickiness. A lot of pomades are annoyingly tacky. However, this finishing paste has practically NO hold. According to the label, this is supposed to have a level three “extra strong hold.” Whatever that means … But, I’m not entirely sure why Garnier states this claim given that the hold is pretty minimal despite the fact that it contains acacia gum, an ingredient derived from the acacia tree for its ability to impart shine and provide a natural hold.

Truth be told, I purchased a three-pack of this product to meet the Amazon.com threshold to get free shipping. LOL. I originally thought I would be using it as an edge tamer. However, the lack of hold forced me to reinvent my original purpose for buying this product. On a whim, I decided to use it for a twist-out. The results? Ahhhmazing!

Seriously, I had great definition,  zero stickiness and, when combined with my DIY lavender spritz, uber moisturized tresses. I loved the results so much, I rocked twist-outs for like two months straight! That’s something I have never done. In fact, it wasn’t until I came to my last jar that I thought to use it for a wash ‘n go. My hair loved that, too! It gave me a fluffy, voluminous wash ‘n go on day ONE! So, I’m thinking I’ll actually buy this finishing paste on purpose next time. 😉 And, apparently, Garnier has several other products in their Pure Clean line. So, I might have to check into those as well. If you have wavy or curly hair, I think the Garnier Fructis Style Pure Clean Finishing Paste is worth a gander. And, the best part? This product is eco-conscious. Done. And, done!
