Paula’s Choice Resist C15 Super Booster claims to firm, brighten, and smooth all skin types while stimulating collagen production. This potent formula contains 15% stabilized vitamin C, vitamin E, and ferulic acid. It is supposed to effectively treat brown spots, helps fade red marks from acne, and improve signs of sun-damage. In addition, it can be combined with other Paula’s Choice products and is suitable for breakout-prone skin.

Pretty hefty claims for less than a fluid ounce of product! But, after experiencing hyperpigmentation that just wouldn’t go away for almost a year, I decided to give it a try. I have to admit, I’m always a little cautious when a product has such lofty claims but, after using the product for five weeks now, I can honestly say Paula’s Choice is the right choice for me!

I was pretty skeptical when I started using Paula’s Choice Resist C15 Super Booster. Okay … A LOT skeptical! Mostly because I’ve tried so many similar products in the past that just never came close to living up to their promise to reduce the signs of aging while fading dark spots and acne scars. Either it worked but inflamed my sensitive skin, or it was gentle on my skin and did nothing to treat my hyperpigmentation and acne scars! So, I decided to see what this “Super Booster” could truly do by testing it on the toughest problem areas of my skin.

I used the C15 Super Booster on several areas of my face and body that suffered from hyperpigmentation (mostly discolored spots on my face from overexposure to the sun). I also used it on the dark circles under my eyes. In addition, I applied it to various acne scars and even used some on an old second-degree burn scar on my arm that I sustained from an injury earlier in the year … I didn’t expect much, so I figured, why not?

You can apply the serum once or twice daily. I chose to apply it in the morning and evening, before bed, to maximize my results. In the morning, I cleansed and toned my face, applied the Super Booster, followed up with a moisturizer, and then applied my makeup as usual. At night, before bed, I completed the same process, sans makeup. If applying the product in the morning, it is important to protect your skin with a sunscreen rated SPF 15 or greater. I used a facial moisturizer with SPF 30.

To my surprise, there was a noticeable improvement in the tone of my skin after only two weeks. After four weeks, the hyperpigmentation/dark spots on my skin had faded significantly. Even the 6+ month-old, second-degree burn on my arm improved … My burn scar has shrunken in size by at least 50% and faded by at least that much!

So far, the only con I have is that the serum did absolutely nothing to lighten the dark circles under my eyes. However, on the upside, it seems to have worked everywhere else I applied it! So, on the whole, I am completely amazed by how well this product works. So much so that I am actually scared to run out! NO PRODUCT I have ever tried has worked this well AND been gentle enough not to aggravate my sensitive skin.

This is my new go-to skin solution. I love how light the serum is. It isn’t oily or heavy, and it is easily absorbed by my skin. It is a clear liquid that has no discernible fragrance, which I love! It is so light and silky, it is almost like applying water to your face. And, I love how it can be added to other Paula’s Choice products (i.e., their tinted matte moisturizer or severe acne kit) or used straight-from-the-bottle (as I did) in its concentrated form.

And, while the bottle may seem small, a little definitely goes a long way! I still have probably another one-and-a-half to two weeks’ worth of product left. So, one bottle will have lasted me about 7 weeks! But, if you aren’t using it on large scars or are only applying it to small areas of your face, it will last you significantly longer than this since I also applied the serum to stubborn scars on my neck and arms, etc. But, considering how many areas I applied the product to, I think this little bottle has become my new anti-aging hero!

I cannot fully describe how happy I am at the improved tonality of my skin … My mom noticed almost immediately that my skin looked more even and clear. After trying some, she’s decided to get more for herself! After using the product for a few weeks, she, too, is receiving amazing results! So, we both can’t wait to see how much more this Super Booster will improve our skin in the weeks ahead. Spot-free skin? Here I come!
